Detoxing Your Closet
The most important way to feel more attractive and be able to shine is to stop being unfair to yourself. Don't wear the colors that don't make you feel attractive, don't wear colors that make you look exhausted and do you wrong.
How do you do that?

2. Ask yourself why you do not wear them
Maybe it's because they don't fit you anymore. Maybe the color makes you look pale. Maybe the style isn't a style you would call your style anymore.
Be brutally honest with yourself. Ask if this item truly makes you feel confident, not just “comfortable” or nostalgic.
Try the item on and look in natural light. Sometimes seeing it on your body, not just hanging in the closet, gives the clearest answer.
3. Check outfit inspirations with similar pieces
Sometimes it could happen that a piece looks terrible until it is combined with another piece that makes it look good. So, check inspirations and see how people online style this piece and ask yourself if you see yourself wearing that confidently.
Save outfit photos that actually reflect your body type and style, not just aspirational models. This makes it easier to see realistic combinations.
Try mixing pieces in your closet before looking online. Sometimes pairing old favorites in a new way is better than copying online trends.

4. Decide whether to sell it, donate it or give it away
Take action. Those pieces have to leave your closet. You want a space for your style. You want to feel confident. You want to look effortlessly good. You want to be able to dress up whatever it is, knowing you will feel confident in it later.
Make separate piles: one for selling, one for donating, one for giving to friends. Physically separating them makes leaving easier.
Schedule a drop-off or listing day. Clothes tend to linger if you don’t set a concrete action to remove them from your space.
5. Time for new clothes
When going shopping, test how the color makes your skin look. Put your hand next to it and see: does it make your skin glow and look nice, or does it make your skin reflect some weird lights and show uneven colors? Trust your senses. There is no need to pay for those color tests to find out what colors fit you and what do not. It is simple: put your hand next to it. Does it look soft? Does it make your skin look off? How do you feel?
Take a quick photo under natural light. Sometimes the mirror can lie, but your camera can show the real effect of the color on your skin.
Compare it with a “safe” color you know suits you. If the new color feels off next to something that makes your skin glow, it’s probably not worth it.

6. Knowing your style; smart shopping
When you want to buy a piece, don't just buy whatever piece without thinking what you could combine it with. Let's say you see two beautiful tops and you're thinking which one to buy. One of them could fit the pants you already have and the other one doesn't fit another piece in your closet. Don't buy it.
Keep a list or photo grid of your closet staples. Before buying, check mentally if it fits with at least two items you already own.
Ask yourself if the item can work for multiple occasions. Pieces that are versatile prevent you from feeling like you wasted money.

1. Get your clothes out
Get the pieces that are just lying in your closet. The ones you said you would wear sometime but you never did. Pieces that are too old.
Lay everything on your bed so you see it all at once. Seeing it physically can help you decide faster and avoid keeping things “just in case.”
Set a timer for 30-60 minutes. Working in a focused time block keeps you from overthinking each item and makes the process feel manageable.
